Regency Suds

Soap as we know it wasn’t always around. During the Regency, people often used harsh lye or a ball of soap to wash and it didn’t come in a bar like we are accustomed to using. Some of the more wealthy people were able to afford fancy bar soap, but they were used sparingly, as a luxury item.
