Unwrap a military hero this holiday season

When it comes to the holidays, I can’t get enough. I love the music, the lights, the food, the scent of evergreen and cinnamon. Combine all of that with a military hero, and I have the makings of a cozy reading weekend.

Here are five holiday heroes to unwrap right now.

A Marine’s Christmas Wedding is book 5 in the Grayce Walters contemporary romantic suspense series set in Seattle by USA Today bestselling author Jacki Delecki. Each book is a standalone, steamy, fast-paced romance with a guaranteed happily ever after!

Their pretend marriage—cover for a top-secret military assignment—turned into something real.

Maddy and Hunter have completed their assignment, but neither wants their roles as husband and wife to end. They’re ready to exchange vows, but their plans for a quickie ceremony at the courthouse unravel when Grayce Walters and company decide the two Marines deserve a real wedding.

Overwhelmed by the generous attention of her new circle of family and friends, loner Maddy realizes falling in love with Hunter comes with big changes. Worried that the next assignment might separate him from the woman he can’t live without, Hunter struggles not to ruin his fiancée’s pleasure at getting her dream wedding.

But it’s Christmas—the season of miracles. Tough-as-nails Major Hunter Hines and fiercely independent Second Lieutenant Maddy Jeffers will soon discover Christmas wishes can come true.

Gabe Griffin, the best man to his multimillionaire scientist brother Gavin, would rather return to the field as an elite Delta Force soldier than think about marriage—especially between his brother and some self-absorbed, status-seeking woman like Tiffany. But the task of delivering the dress and the designer has fallen into his hands.

Fashion designer, Lauren Harrison, dreads nothing more than yet another wedding—particularly that she has “agreed” to design the dress for her half-sister during the Christmas season.

Alongside Lauren’s bridezilla sister, the country wedding only gets worse when she is forced to interact with Gabe, her secret crush, as he transports the dress and her to the venue, due to the raging blizzard. Sparks fly, but will the close proximity change their minds about love? Or will Gabe’s mission to prevent his brother’s wedding with her help thwart Lauren’s high school fantasies?

Enjoy this contemporary romance of holiday fun, set against the backdrop of the remote Eastern Washington countryside!

He’s the world’s most alpha Marine and the last man I should be letting jingle my bells this holiday season.

So why does Clint O’Dell keep running through my thoughts wearing nothing but a Santa hat? And why do I stupidly agree that we should be Christmas friends with benefits?

Someone must have spiked my eggnog.

I don’t do Marines.

Or Santas.

I learned my lesson about both the hard way.

But when Clint steps in to rescue me—from a murderous goose, a rogue reindeer, and the ghost of Christmas Right Now causing trouble in my bakery—I can’t help but wonder if we’re meant to be more than friends.

If maybe Clint is the holiday miracle I’ve been praying for…or if all the magic will disappear with the season.

Read MARRIAGE UNDER FIRE, Grayce Walters romantic suspense series book 4, for FREE on Amazon. Here’s an excerpt from the book about two Marines who go undercover and fall in love.

Hunter held the door open for Maddy. He tried to keep his focus straight ahead like a well-trained Marine, but with a will of their own, his eyes tracked the sleek dress hugging her sweet, rounded ass.

His well-honed training and unshakeable discipline went to hell whenever his sister’s best friend was nearby. Maddy Jeffers was more of a challenge than any assignment the Marines had thrown at him. Had the gods in heaven laughed at him when he’d been assigned to work with this tiny blond bombshell?

It would be a relief to return to his normal routine of dangerous, clandestine operations, he reminded himself. Who was he kidding? He’d miss Maddy—the way her eyes brightened in mischief, the way she ran her fingers through the bouncy curls, and the way she lifted her chin when challenged, as if to say to the world, “Give me your worst. I can take it.”

A silver-haired woman wearing red-framed glasses low on her nose and a utilitarian suit of navy blue moved around the front desk. “Major Hines? And Second Lieutenant Jeffers?”

Hunter stepped forward and took charge. “Yes, ma’am.”

“Lieutenant Colonel Dawson is waiting for you.”

“The colonel is here?” Maddy squeaked.

Ignoring Maddy’s surprised response, the woman pushed her glasses back up her nose and addressed Hunter. “He and the agents will see you now.”

Maddy raised her eyebrows at him as if he had answers. The colonel must have reviewed the report by now. Surely there was nothing in it to warrant a visit to Seattle.

“Follow me, please.” The secretary wore low-heeled shoes, unlike Maddy, who wobbled along in high heels, probably trying to add to her five-foot stature.

Maddy toyed with her lively curls—a nervous habit he found endearing.

He walked behind the two women, but this time he focused straight ahead. He hated the unexpected. His survival depended on his ability to assess and control a situation. The arrival of his commander was unforeseen and out of his control.

Hunter watched Maddy as she donned her Marine armor—spine straight, chin up, eyes forward. If it weren’t such a turn-on, he’d laugh at the combination of her Marine stance with the hot dress and heels.

So Tasty ~ Excerpt from 'An Inner Fire'

Grayce stood in the doorway wearing his shirt. Mitzi stood behind her. A surge of possessiveness hit him in the gut. He wanted Grayce Walters to belong to him and only him.

“How long have I been asleep?” She stretched her arms over her head. He watched his shirt hike up to reveal her thighs, high enough to tantalize, high enough to cause heat to pool under his clothes, under his skin.

“Three hours.”

“Wow, I was really out. I had no idea I was so tired.”

“My fault. I didn’t plan on a workout when I invited you for dinner.”

A patch of red appeared on each cheek. A woman who blushed, a woman with no artifice.
How had he gotten so lucky?

“Are you working?”

“I was.” He stood. He wanted to go back to bed and do all the things they had done to each other and more. Desire drummed through him in a slow, steady beat. With her hair sleep-tousled around her shoulders, she looked like the cover of Maxim, like every hot-blooded male’s fantasy.

He pulled her into his arms. She smelled of lemon and warm, sleepy woman.

“Are you hungry?”

“I am, but you keep working. I’ll fix something.”

“I’m hungry too.” He leaned down, taking bites of her earlobe, nipping at her neck. “So tasty.”
